TERMS & CONDITIONS |
|
1.- Buyer understands that all doors are handcrafted
and hand distressed. Door finish and distress may vary from
submitted samples depending on material supplied.
2.- Buyer understands that seller is not responsible
for any installation.
3.- Buyer is responsible for supplying Old World
Traditions with all door sizes.
4.- Buyer understands that Old World Traditions is
not responsible for cosmetic differences such as size and frequency
of knots, variations in color texture, and grain patterns of wood.
5.- Buyer is responsible for the inspection of all
doors and any claims must be submitted within 15 days of receipt of
doors and prior to hanging, fitting, or further finishing.
To clarify further: if a visible and/or apparent
defect exists upon receipt and inspection of a door/doors from Old
World Traditions, it is imperative that we be notified prior to any
further costs being incurred on that door/doors. Old World
Traditions will not be held liable for those costs.
6.- Warp shall not be considered a defect unless it
exceeds ¼” in the plane of the door. Warp is measured by placing a
straight edge or a taut string on the concave face of the door and
determining the maximum distance from the straight edge or string to
the door face. Warp must occur in the door itself and not be the
result of improperly installed jambs or walls not being plumb. (Plank
doors carry no warranty against warp!)

Hacienda Door Styles
Old World Traditions
offers a wide assortment of rustic Hacienda-style door designs. All
doors are made to order and are crafted based on your individual sizing
needs. In addition, many of our clients choose to make changes to
our designs to further personalize their doors.
The Door Crafting Process
Each door is handcrafted
in every way. First, the client's choice of lumber is hand-selected
to provide the door with its desired character. Wood grain, knots,
and unique markings in the wood are carefully arranged in order to
maximize the inherent natural beauty that is seen in each door. The selected
material is then
hand-hewn and distressed by our craftsmen who must first undergo hours
of training before they are screened and allowed to apply our signature
distress and finish. The door
is then hand-assembled in an "Old World" fashion which includes a
mortar/tenon joint finish. Once assembled, the door receives a wax finish with
our own blend of waxes and compounds. Finally, the appropriate hardware is placed and
the finished door is quality inspected by our master carpenters.
