Saltillo and Clay Pavers

Saltillo—probably the most widely used clay paver. Its color varies piece by piece and within each piece from a light blondish color to a pinkish red. The Saltillo paver is available in a variety of sizes/patterns and has a square edge finish.

Super Saltillo—this paver is made with the same clay as the regular Saltillo paver but its edges are rounded (bullnosed) thus giving it a pillowed look when installed. The Super Saltillo is only available in certain square and rectangle sizes.

Lincoln—a brown-colored paver which is very uniform in color. Like the Super Saltillo, its edges are also rounded. The Lincoln paver is available in many different sizes and patterns. It is a great choice for those who do not want to have color variances in their flooring.

Lincoln Rustic—this paver is made with the same clay as the Lincoln paver but is made with different molds. The end result is a square-edged paver with a rougher, more rustic surface (great for exterior applications). Its rich dark color makes it a favorite of those wishing little to no color variation.

Tecate—a reddish paver which is also very uniform in color. Its close resemblance to the old Spanish paver makes it a favorite of many. It should be used with caution, however, due to the fact that it is more porous and softer than other pavers.

Maya—an old variation of the Lincoln paver. The clay mixture has extra additives that give the finished paver a rubbed-on stained look. The paver has plenty of color variation that ranges from a light tan to a dark brown.

Hacienda—an orange-like red colored clay that is more durable than most other clays. It is more rustic in nature and also has color variations ranging from a light yellow to an orange-like tint. Its durable nature makes it ideal for exterior use. Hacienda clay is perfect for custom projects since the pavers can be molded to almost any shape and size.

Barcelona—similar to the Hacienda paver when it comes to its rustic nature, the Barcelona paver has a rough surface. It is great for exterior applications due to its slip resistant characteristics. The Barcelona paver's colors are darker and more red than those of the Hacienda's.
